When we lead such busy lives, we need to rest longer. Be quieter. Listen to what our bodies are saying more.
Just as we cloak our fatigue with caffeine, there is an array of cloaks for all the signs and symptoms that our bodies give us to tell us that something is out of balance : Voltarol for painful muscles, Steroids for eczema, Movicol for constipation, Ritalin for ADD, Calpol for fever..the list goes on. and on. and on.
Symptoms don't just come from nowhere. Nothing is random. Were not just "unlucky" if we get an illness. How many of us are guilty of Just Dealing with everyday aches, pangs, anxieties, dips of mood etc? We dont have to just deal with it. These symptoms can be seen as our friends. They indicate just what is going on out of view,inside the body. With some attention, these symptoms can help us to know just WHAT needs fixing, so we can be healthier and live more vibrantly than we already do.
We need to treat our bodies more like they're our friends. Trust it. Listen to it when it tells you that something is out of balance. Respond to what its telling you it needs. These are simple instructions for staying healthy, yet so many of us have learnt not to trust our bodies, or don't know what to do or how to respond.
